Here's the last 270 Speer I recovered out of a moose taken with my 9.3X62. Broke ribs going in and out, mushed up lungs, ended up under hide after about thirty inches of travel. Plain vanilla Hot Cores are good bullets! Ted

I've run several 6.5mm 120gr. bullets into wet newsprint. Looked just like all the ones shown. "Boringly reliable" comes to mind.

The Hot Cor has a reputation for being a pretty stout C&C bullet. My only problem with the 140g 6.5mm is that I can't get the dang thing to group in my 6.5x55.
I recently tested a load that gave me 1.357" and that's the absolute best the bullet has done. Average group sizes have been about 2 1/3".
Anyone load the 140g 6.5mm in a 6.5x55 that has an accurate load to share?
