Putting together a little .270 as a loaner/fair weather rifle. Wondering what the preferences are as to .270 bullets. Would prefer not to spring for the premium bullets, just looking for good solid, performance, mostly deer, but maybe elk. What do you all like in the .270?
I've shot quite a few different loads in a few M700's and a new FN M70. Always had great accuracy from the Sierra Pro Hunters and Hornady SP's. My brother and I have shot quite a few deer with the Sierra's and had great results. You should be able to get either of those two to shoot well.
