What normally (sometimes) causes binding in the magazine box is glass bedding with the use of screws and opposed to guides that allow the barreled action to settle on its own if you use detainment guides..
I always omit the center screw on the model 70, or rather install a hardwood dowell and use a short wood screw there. I only wnat to secure the front portion of the trigger, not pull down on the center of the action..I works well.
