I'd like to try doing this on one of mine. Where does one get the "webbing" pattern? Is it available commercially?

You can get the webbing spray here: Krylon Webbing Spray I haven't had much luck finding it in stores.

SuperSeal110, who finished your stock? Very nice. I believe Rick Bin painted it, but I'm not 100% positive.

Well thanks Butch! My next custom will be a full custom Dakota 10 by James Anderson, caliber TBD. And I like stainless rifles with olive paint jobs, just to stay on topic.

I kind of like the way this one turned out. Rattle cans and webbing.

Czech Mauser chambered to 257 AI w/ POS tuperware Fajen covered w/ stonetouch in gotham gray: It didn't hold up as well w/ the stonetouch clearcoat so it now looks like somebody peed on it after I got a little over diligent with the "clear" aluma-hyde II: But she still looks great while laying with the dogs: I found it helpful to use a very coarse sandpaper (I think I went 60 grit?) all over the stock in many different directions, then acetone, then primer made for plastic, then multiple layers of paint, then a few days to cure, then a few VERY thin layers of Aluma-Hyde II to keep it from building up as you can see it did on this one in the middle pic. I had done a Rem 597 this way for a young man from my church and was more careful on his w/ the Aluma-Hyde II and it looks great and is holding up very nicely. The stonetouch has a unique look and provides grip that other types of paint don't. This crappy stock was supposed to be just a stopgap while waiting for a laminate but has been used longer than originally anticipated... mostly because I can't stop building or buying new rifles long enough to pay attention to improving this one... it shoots great no matter how ugly the handle!

CUTNHARE; This is my 98 parts gun with a Wildcat Composites stock. The base is Krylon Fusion brown with some tan, flat black and primer grey stencils as accents. We can't seem to find webbing paint up here in Canada in any color other than silver, otherwise I'd like to try that on the next project. Thanks for all who put up photos, the creative ideas are great to look at. Have a good week all. Regards, Dwayne
