I grew up just outside of Tucson and an L46 Sako in 222 was also my favorite jackrabbit gun. I worked all summer in 1960 at the age of 15 to buy that rifle. Still have it but as there are no jacks around Lewiston it gets used mostly on groundsquirrels and for coyote calling.
It now sports a new Shilen #3 ss barrel, and is shooting as good as ever. That Sako is one of the most honest guns I have ever owned. Pedro
PS--- Do miss the desert after 32yrs. but not all the people. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
