Personally I ascribe to the theory that the father needs to be there for the laying of the keel and off fighting a war during the launch.

Congratulations on your new family member. Times sure have changed since Les was born. They wouldn't let the future daddy (Greenhornet) anywhere near the delivery room, they would have banned momma from the room to if they could have figured out how to get the baby born without her Glad you could be there for the birth of your son, you are in for a life changing experience, all for the best!
