my 257 will pound through some of the steel plates that my 7 wsm wont. and she is a lazer beam, just have to free float my barrel and take time between shots as she will heat up fast

My father shot his first deer with a Modle 92 .25-20. He was in high school and hunting with some of his high school buddies. They did a little drive and my father was one of the blockers. A forkhorn muley came running right at him, and he shot from the hip at really close range and hit it in the heart!

Just curious, but do you know what year that was? My story took place in 1965.
I haven't shot a deer with a .25/20 since then, but have been pondering doing just that to a whitetail in Eastern WA one of these years. Maybe I'll start packing it again this year.
I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.
