I have to agree that this scanner, if real, is not what the Bible is talking about. That requires some kind of mark that is deliberately put on you. It won't just slip in on you. To get it, you will have to deny Christ and then your goose is cooked.
There's no doubt that some of the technology in use today COULD be used in this manner, but it's not here yet. It's highly likely that to get the mark, you will have to say something like Allahu Akbar which means Allah is Greatest.
