Thanks for the info. I thought I had read where the bolt would hit the ocular housing on the Zeiss. Now I have to re-think the whole situation.

troutslayer: I have had both.My 3-9 minox is on a pre 64 M70 in low DD mounts. I can't get a Zeiss to fit that way.M70 Classic or new FN, yes. Pre 64....no.
The Minox fits fine.
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.
