Great Story. Hate I missed the deal. Not sure why I missed it. I have 2 Bob Strollers I could have traded. You will enjoy the Bob very much. Congrats on the new kid, I hope everything goes well. My wife ran a Marathon with my oldest in the Bob. Lee

Love to hear what bullet he used on the bear....my cousin keeps inviting me to bear hunt, and I do have a 6.5x55 I could use, and being a single shot, I intend to make it count more than ever esp. if I popped a Brownie.
Glad that son had a successful hunt, sure he was thrilled.
The selling price also just went up I am sure!

His name is Mac, not sure what his screen name is, but deal with him in confidence. Hope he posts up here soon so we can all know a welcome face on the fire! IIRC he's not a member (yet). His son flat azz smoked that bear with a Remington reduced load (again, if I recall the conversation right). Mac's a great guy and his son a fine young man. I hope he posts up. George

That's what he told me as well, reduced load Remington, not sure what grain bullet. He mentioned Core Lokt (a known shooter out of this rifle) and then said he found some reduced load and went with it. Said it left a tiny entrance hole and a +2" hole on the exit side. Mac is great from the few conversations I have had with him, would welcome him anytime, anyplace where I was located. Might have to take him up on his offer for bear and lobster, just might change one vowel in bear, that "a" should be an "e." Based on our conversation last night, there is no selling price on the rifle, it is a keeper for him and his family.
Keep Smiling

Jon is was wonderful to deal with and I really enjoyed his heart felt conversation. One day I hope to hunt elk with him. I and my son are very happy with the kimber in 260. As soon as we sighted it in, 4 shots, the next one my son hit a tack, literally at 50 yards. Not sure if you can post pics here but the bear was almost as large as my sons smile. First hunt, second day, great memories. Ps my screen name is cloudclimber. Thanks and looking forward to making more memories this weekend with my 13 year old daughter, same stand hopefully even bigger bear.
