I've got:
1) Parker Hale '98 Mauser action, #3 taper Shilen, and Bansner stock going together in 338-06 A-Square
2) Stevens 200 long action, #4 Broughton 1-in-8" twist 6.5mm barrel, Timney trigger, and BVSS stock chambered to 6.5-06 AI
Both in the works, and a fair bit of both using parts purchased here on the 'fire!
One I'm fantasizing about is a Borden Alpine single shot, #5 Shilen 1-in-8", Jewell, don't know about the stock in .22-6mm Rem AI

Need to build the 223ai bad but can't decide on barrel contour? Thinkin either another #1 rock or MR with blk/org MR handle I'd vote MR stock and MR contour... Might look something like this... Ya something close to that.....grin. I've seen a few colors I wanted at first and changed my mind when it came order time, but not that one. That rig takes the cake.

Found this for my friend; it was a 223. He found a 17 tube, but it had no throat for 4 inches. I scored him the 20" "H&R" 17 Rem. barrel. Sez "Ultra Wildcat" on it. Won't run the no-go even close, snug yet closes easily on the go.....and ammo. Mikes .500 at the muzzle, a 222 tube goes .575..... He sez its gettin an Edge. Can't explain how light it really is. Its going to whack sentinels next month when crows open... A wrench, vise and gauges are nice things..... Think I saw that last Saturday This is whats in the work; 1. Sako Forester 220 Weatherby Rocket 23 Shilen #2 1-8 throated for 90 gr VLD McMillan Sako Varmint to be painted?? 2. Sako AIII 375 H&H 20 factory barrel McMillan Sako hunter black and olive Next project Sako AV 375 Whelen barrel and stock TBD (I know it wont headspace). One coal out of the fire. HAWKI and I completed 2. today Sako AIII 375 H&H 20 new factory barrel McMillan Sako hunter (70% black and 30% olive)

This one was delivered out of the coals just last week. Still burning... Sucks and Brux. 1/8.6 twist, 27" tube, 7mm Rem Mag. Spits 180 Bergers at 3g. Looks like you met your velocity goal. Sweet looking rig and it has got to hit hard...

My only coals in the fire concern a short-ish #3 260 in a Compact pattern. I'm wanting something easy-shooting and handy that will still deliver at longer ranges. Long range around here is maybe 400-500yds.

7 Rem Mag Win Mod 70 action McSwirly Supergrade,(50% Woodland, 25% Med Tan, 25% black) Pac Nor #4, 1" shank, 1:9 twist cut to 26"
I've got the action, handle is ordered and should be close to being done. It may end up a STW when its all said and done though.

Nothing too exotic. Loading for a couple of bookends I just picked up - a M-70 transitional in 257R that looks like it's never had a scope on it so need to decide whether to keep it that way or put at old Lyman 4x on it. The other is a 330 Dakota with a great piece of wood I mean to hunt next year. Have a M-99 out for metal work turning it into a 338-284 and then a classic wood stock. But really waiting for the Hawkeye African 404 Ruger wood stock to be put back together - there's a rifle that brings back memories of old Portuguese East Africa.

Smith called and said my BSA single shot 22 is done. The thing was a mess, so the tube was cut to 20", new front sight, new fore end and butt plate. A reblue was also needed. If I can ever get home to pick it up, will make a nice squirrel gun.

Hopefully, I'll be working on a 358 WSSM of some sort before next fall. Just can't decide if I want to do it on a bolt or a single shot.

I told my wife,"No more"........she knows I'm a terrible liar...grin!
I'm waiting on a stock from Mcmillan for a R700 .280AI Bartlein, 1-9" #3 5R. With an Edge it should finish at 8lbs with Talley LW's and a 10X PMII....
Luck....is the residue of design...

I don't know that I'll follow through, but the idea of building a long range tac rifle in .338RUM has been occupying my thoughts lately. 700 action, Mickey tac stock, 28-30" heavy barrel, Nightforce glass.
This is a shooting forum, there is no place here for logic.

I'm jonesing for a cadet (whether BSA, WR, or other) in a centerfire 22 or 218 Bee.
