With my two 25-06's I've found a 110 AB with a dose of 7977 behind it is nearly magical.
Started with the 120 gr Speer and filled several truck-loads of hill country whitetail. Used the 120 partition on the 4 elk I took though I couldn't get a group any better than 1.5" out of them, it was still good enough.
Tried the various Barnes over the years, found the TTSX patterned quite well out of one of mine. But the only deer I ever lost with my 25's was with these bullets. Both were struck right behind the shoulder area and both penciled through. One at about 50 yards, the other at 250 yards. Both were 100 grainers.
Never really tried the ballistic tips as I just have too much good luck with the 110 AB's out to 500 or so yards.

Remember, each of our rifles is a different animal. Some, like mine, don't care for one bullet or another and completely love another.
If you're going for elk, try something heavier and more stout than the 100's in my opinion. Any of the above mentioned bullet may be just the ticket in YOUR rifle.

I use the 110 Accubonds in my 257 Weatherby's. I'm gonna try them in the 25 06's soon.

Sierra 117 gr. Pro-Hunter is the only bullet I use in the 25-06. But it wasn't my decision; the barrel of my 25-06 made the call for me. I also know for a fact that they work great on antelope at a little over 300 yds. Actually, my rifle prefers bullets in the 115-120 gr. range because the lighter stuff all got eliminated through a lot of load development. Even though I've seen 25-06 tackdrivers with various 100 gr. bullets but it seems that was never to be in mine. But I'm so happy with the 117 gr. Sierras and RL-22 that it's become my one standard 25-06 "go-to" load.

Been shooting the 85 grain B tip as I develop loads for my 25 06 Improved. As far as I have gotten.

Works good on the prairie dogs in the back yard.

Of course this question begs the question .
.for what purpose? At one time I used my 25/06 for game including bull moose and elk and it was very effective with the 120 grain partitions. Equivalent to the
270 win with 130 but as I've aged I talked the .270 because of the shorter ,22"barrel.The 25/06 /model 700 is slightly more accurate than either of the 270's I own.Gotta say,I am tempted to cut and crown the .25 down too.I would use it more .Cheers

Give me the 100gr E-Tip. It's a tough little bullet that shoots flat.

I've used both the 100gr TSX and TTSX in my .25-06 and my .250-3000 on deer and antelope. Both bullets put down any whitetail deer fairly quickly, all the way up to the big 300+lb northern Missouri bruisers. But on antelope, the TTSX drops them a little quicker than the TSX, IMO.

The Berger 115gr VLD Hunting has been like a death ray on the turbo goats, and they buck wind at long ranges better than any .25 cal bullet I've tried. Haven't tried them on deer yet.

I've taken one goat with the 110 AB, and it was slightly quartering away at about 320 yards. Bullet entered through the ribcage just behind left shoulder, centerpunching a rib. The off-side right shoulder was absolutely pulverized. The 'lope instantly tipped forward, piling up face first in the dirt. They might be a little soft for heavy whitetails or muleys at close range if they hit heavy bone on the way in.

I used to use quite a few of the Hornady 117gr BTSP Interlocks, but quit because I wanted something that didn't get battered bullet tips in the rifle's magazine. But they performed well on all the deer I shot with them. Same thing for the Sierra 100 and 117gr GameKings and ProHunters I've used. I probably should use these more in my Ruger #1 in .25-06. The Sierras, especially, shoot bug-hole groups in that rifle.

I was given a bunch of 120gr Speer Grand Slams quite a few years ago, and loaded them for my little Ruger Ultralight .250-3000. Never shot any of them past around 250 yards and most were inside 100yds, but I could get around 2700fps using H4831SC. They dropped deer as well as any .270 or .308. Almost always got complete penetration and terrific blood trails, but didn't need that because I never had a deer go any further than 30 yards.

100 grain TSX has worked well for me in .25-06 AI. Have killed caribou and a number of deer with it. Great terminal results from 90 - 400 yards.

My 25-06 shoots better with 100gr TSX's than anything I have tried.

I know some complain that the TSX does not open up but I am 3 for 3 on whitetails so far and all have been one shot kills. Hoping to add a few more whitetails next month smile

Added another mule deer buck to the animals my 25-06 has taken yesterday. 115gr partition did the job perfectly.

Wow - a 6 year old post comes back from the dead!

Well, perhaps I can do my part. I'm heading to a Wyoming cow elk hunt in a couple of weeks, and I'll be using a 25-06 with 100gr TTSX ammo.

I'll let you know how it comes out!
