Youngest daughter has shown a interest in bowhunting. Was looking at these bows Browning Micro Midas 3 / Hoyt Rintec and a Small Alpine (not sure of model). Browning is $170.00 Hoyt is $250.00 Alpine is $300.00 (this is a package deal). Anybody have any thought on setting up a young girl. I have had Hoyt/PSE/High County for me. Want to equip the bow with a Whisker Bisquit and carbon arrows. Poundage, i am thinking 30-40. She has a 25" draw length.
Please advise any thoughts thanks Coalminer

'Miner,
Too bad. My son is left handed. When he was about that age, I bought him a PSE in the exact config. you are looking for.
Obviously, it is a left handed bow.

I have friends that bought the Browning and the Alpine for their kids. Both are very happy with them. The guy that bought the Alpine needed something with a little more growth room otherwise he was going with the Browning.
My wife is shooting a PSE Spyder 30-40lb single cam with 75% letoff. I got that one on ebay. You may want to check ebay as they sometimes have some good deals on last years models. Check out prices at local shops for reference. I've seen some bows sell for more than new.
As you may know, if she has not shot before, make sure she is not overbowed. 30# may be okay depending on her strength. It will help her ingrain the proper form then go up in weight. If she shoots at the upper end of the bows weight range, the bow will be quieter and more efficient. You can buy other limbs later. Or a different bow as she develops her own taste in equipment. IMO skip aluminums if you can get carbons to fly. That shouldn't be a problem with a compound. They are more durable and will put up with "worm burning" and bouncing off of trees. Again my wife shoots Carbon Express 45-60s and they fly well from 35-45lbs that she currently shoots.
Check local game laws for minimum poundage but my wife has shot 2 deer with a 40# bow. Both pass thrus. I'd stay away from expandables. 75gr Muzzy, Wasp or 85gr Thunderheads are good.

I bought my youngest girl the Browning Micro Midus 3.It has over 8 inches of adjustment for growth and can be adjusted without the need of a bow press.
She is just now getting up to legal hunting weight, which is 45# draw weight.
I went to carbons for her right off the bat, matter of fact we all shoot carbons,my oldest girl and my wife also shoot bows.

Gotta side with the majority... Browning Micro Midas. One of my sons has one, and it grew with him until he was 16. Then he was able to get into a full sized bow that may last for a long time. Went with a PSE for one of the other boys and he out grew it too quickly. Go withe the Micro Midas IMO.
