Has anyone had any experience shooting this gun, I am very interested in purchasing one, any feedback would be great. Pro's/Con's etc.

Doubtful you can go wrong.. Main thing is - does it fit you? Are you lined up correctly when you bring it to shoulder? If so, you're obtaining a high quality O/U..

At times I dis Browning on some things, but not their O/Us.. High quality parts inside, very durable and well-function shotguns.. The main things to consider is (1) keep the chambers clean and (2) ensure you lightly grease the pivots and bloc sides to prevent galling..

It should last you a lifetime..

I cannot tell you specifically about a 625, however I have 3 525's (2 in 12 gauge and 1 20 gauge) and they are the same except for some cosmetics and the lengthened forcing cones that the 625's have.

Mine are all sporting clays guns and I really like them very much. The 20 is a magic wand, it think it's picture must be in the dictionary under the definition of sweetness.

As mentioned, make sure the gun fits you correctly, or can be made to if you are willing to spend the money.

Some folks like the tighter radius grip and some folks don't seems to be the main thing I hear about.

Last Spring I had a choice to make ! I have been a Trap shooting fanatic for years. I shoot 20-25 thousand rounds a year.
Due to age and several old injuries I either had to stop shooting altogether or use something other than a 12ga. Recoil was causing a ton of damage to those old injuries. I sold my Perrazi 12ga.trap guns . I have been hunting with 28 gauges for years so I bought a Browning 625 Sporting in 28 ga. After getting the gun to fit me, I went back to shooting trap. Since June of this year I have put 9,000 + rounds through it. Absolutely NO problems ! I mean NONE ! The 625 Sporting is pure QUALITY !
I feel it has the quality and reliability of guns costing
3 or 4 times the money.
I could not say enough good about the 625. I am back in the trap game again.
By the way. The 28 ga is NOT a handicap in trap ! My singles average is back up again to 97 / 100. I shoot handicap from the 27 yard line.
Browning has a winner with the 625 Sporting.

You're averaging 97/100 from the 27 line with a 28 ga???

That, my friend, is top-notch shooting..

As to the 625, they're excellent.. And I'm sure you know this but, ensure you keep lube on the sides of the breech where it enters the receiver.. That, and when done for the day swab out and oil the chambers..

All that will ensure a lifetime of use.. Congrats..

Redneck, Sorry I mislead you. My SINGLES ( 16 yard line )average is 97 / 100.
My Average in Handicap ( from the 27 yard line) is 91/100.
My doubles average ( all doubles are shot from the 16 yard line)
is 88/100.
When I was at the top of my game with 12 gauges my averages were about the same as now. They started down hill a few years ago when age and recoil started taking it's toll.
My goal is to shoot 200/200 singles consistantly.
An occasional 100/100 from the 27 yardline
And 200/200 in doubles once in a while.
The 28 gauge, and the Browning 625 are definately up to it.
It's going to take lots of practice for my old ass to do it.
Maybe never will again, but it is sure fun trying.

Ahhh,, still that's a heckuva average.. Kudos.

It's been years since I shot doubles. Tried to get some teams going here but they got bored.. Then we went to 'swinging' doubles, just for S&G and that got a LOT more fun.. Averages took a nosedive, but interest remained high.. laugh

I wish I had time/money to get back into it.. (sigh)
