When I got my first Swift, my goal was a 55 grain Nosler BT at about 3850 fps, a notch or two below maximum but plenty for my needs. This was the evolution of my load:
1) 55 Nosler BT and IMR 4064--got the velocity and fine accuracy, but had to weigh the charge because 4064 does not flow well through my RCBS powder measure.
2) Next tried Re15 and again immediately had success. Re15 flows better, but not as good as a ball powder, leading me to try . . .
3) H380, which gave me great accuracy at my goal velocity, although my load was only a half-grain under maximum.
4) H414, which gave me the same excellent accuracy, reached my desired velocity at two grains under maximum, and as a ball powder measures very consistently. I also found that the Hornady V-Max shot just as accurately as the Nosler, but was a little cheaper. I will eventually switch to the 50-grain VMax I use in my .223 to simplify my bullet supply.
I've owned two Swifts, and neither was tempermental. In fact, finding a good load was easy. I've fooled around with a few other bullets and powders just for fun, but have never really tried anything that didn't work fine.

Op said he wanted to try something other than 760.
