Welcome to the fire. Great buck!!

It is great that you got a picture of him on the trail camera. I assume you are going to get it mounted. I would take one of the trail cam pics, frame it, and hang it under the mount.

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Thanks .. yep he is going on the wall. He came off our private land, with no fences so that along with the trail cam pics makes him special to me.

If that is truly a three antlered buck it's not eligible for entry in the B&C record book.

A three antlered buck has a point that rises separately from the other antlers usually having its own pedicel.

I've measured deer that apparently had a third antler, but the "third beam" actually branched from the main beam or shared the pedicel if the normal beam. If the "beam" would shed separately from the typical beam, its a third antler and the rack is ineligible.

I can't tell from these pictures what the situation is with your deer, but I hope this helps.

Hunting is Exciting! Bolt actions are BORING!!!

Don't mix the two!

Rick Teal, Thanks for the information. I think the two antlers would be connected, I have attached a better picture showing this.

If we said they grew from the same base, would the proper way score him be just like a typical deer then add in the additional main beam length, point lengths and circumference measurements to get his gross score ?

Thanks again and I appreciate any more help you can give.

That's awesome ! I agree with "Muffy" about the trail cam pictures. You have him in velvet, after he shed his velvet and now you are holding him by his rack. Such a great conversation piece. That's a buck too be proud of. Congrats !
