A feral boar at 40 yards with an Old Model Ruger SBH throwing 280 gr WFN's rather slowly.
A bull moose at 150 yards with a 35 Whelen throwing a 225 gr TSX rather moderately.
A bull elk at 75 yards with a 35 Whelen throwing a 225 gr TSX rather moderately.
A bull elk at 290 yards with a 338-06 throwing a 185 gr TSX rather speedy.
A feral boar at 60 yards with a Ugartechea SxS slug gun throwing 1 oz Brenneke's rather slowly.
All pretty much bang flops.

I find it interesting that of the 5 obvious long-range hunters who have posted, only 4 out of the 25 animals listed were taken at less than 450 yards--and those were taken at 250, 349, 357 and 368 yards.
Among the other hunters, not many animals were taken at over 250 and very few at over 400.
