Doc, this creep sounds like the guy who sneakd around the neighborhood looking in windows and trying to get pictures of "something nasty" going on. Fuggem. He ain't worth the powder to blow him to hell.

Just another troll, or worse.

Craig Boddington is My favorite writer and I don't hold any ill will toward Brittany for her unfortunate accident, I'm glad the man will make a full recovery, it could have been much worse. I wonder if Craig is still with Brittany's mom or has he a new wife? I heard somewhere that he was a divorcee................Hillbilly.

When I said Mom, I should have said step-mom. Craig has been married to Donna, for several years now, I do believe.

I've taught both my sons and my wife that when the need arises, pull the freaking trigger. Hesitation will usually result in more harm to the innocents. JMHO.

Good job, Brittany. Thank goodness you didn't wait for a lawyer to get there to tell you the best thing to do.

I think that whomever this troll happens to be that his intent was just to sling mud at Craig-trying to see if anything would stick.
Though I have never met Boddington I must have half a dozen of his books; he is one of my favorite gunwriters and I wish he was here at the 'Fire.

Well said. One of my best friends was in the same camp just after the accident. He is the quite type & not prone to getting involved in situations involving other people. His comments were that hunting leopard with dogs is very dangerous & controversial. Most countries have banned this type of hunting. He contended that if the leopard brakes bay someone can easily be attacked. Apparently, this is one of the reasons why this type of hunt is so controversial. Certainly, not the only reason. Its easy to be critical when you weren't part of the hunt.

think i posted earlier when this first came up, had it been me on the ground i woulda been more pissed had they not tried to shoot the SOB off me, if i get a bullet hole in the process so be it, rather that than all the [bleep] just standing around and watching......at that point whats an extra hole in my hide....who ever tried to get the [bleep] thing off me would be drinking free for life if im ever around bullet hole in my hide or not....

I see no fault in this scenario whatsoever based on reading the links despite many in our culture who will probably try to find it, although I thought this happened some time ago. It's surprising to me that these incidents don't occur more often when hunting dangerous dangerous game.

Heck, ask Dick Chaneys quail hunting partner.

Sad situation but it is what it is.

I am with you 100% on this Scott, MUCH rather be shot than et alive!

Yea, that was quite a story Sitka on two counts: your honesty about what we all experience and feel on occasion and the sad end to that young man. The thought "suicide by bear" comes to mind with his dogged and aggressive, and mostly blind pursuit of that bear.
