Winchester is recalling some LEFT handed M-70's in 375 H&H that were sold in September of 2004.

I just called the Winchester recall number (800) 945-5372 and they said that for a specific batch of left handed M-70's the trigger and safety mechanism were adjusted incorrectly during assembly.

They would not give me a range of serial numbers for the affected guns but mine is not one of the ones being recalled. (Serial No. G377XXX)

Winchester M-70 LH 375 H&H Recall - akshally, the recall on my Model 70 ain't all that bad. I done put one a them there DeeCeleater pads on it, plus'n it weighs nigh 'bout 10 pounds all up, so it's moah like a good shove, kinda like my wife give me when I let one go in a public resteeraunt.

Now, I done had me one a them Ruger Number one's in .375, and man, ah'm heah ta tell ya, that sucker had a right smart recall on it. Facks is, I useta talk and read 'bout normal afore's I took up with that raffle.
