only rule i was aware of was "leave a persons family out of it" and dont think thats written anywhere but most stick to it.....if your gonna be an idiot or a whiner ppl will fire for effect, usually dont matter where you are an internet forum or real life.....if you werent aware of that you have lived a pretty sheltered life....

This is kinda an eye opener.What comes to mind is every human being has something he is good at and somethings can't be taught,it has to be experience.
Here are three that comes to mind right now...
1-You can't learn or read how to be a good hunter.You have to do it in person to be good, and learn.
2-You can't learn or read how to be an azzhole.You have to do it in person to be good and learn.
3-You can't learn or read how to be a good fist fighter.You have to do it in person and learn.
You think you know it all..You argue with Murphy(John....) who has 10X the experience you have and is a ballistics guy for a major ammo company..Yet your right there saying he and everyone else is wrong...

I can live with that. Taking this thought to the end, though, it means the stated rules upon sign up are superfluous.
And "have only rules yor are willing AND able to enforce" is a pretty basic concept of human interaction.
3 year olds teach it to their parents...
Since only one person....the owner....has the ability to enforce those rules, the rule is really whatever he decides it is. And Rick is very tolerant....this is an unmoderated site, so his tolerance level defines the extent to which written rule is enforced.
so, posters need to put on their big girl panties and deal with it, or go to a site with moderators to protect sensitive feelers from meanies.
gratuitous hatefulness usually leads to a poster being ostracized and ignored, so there is some sanction short of being banned.....but of course, one man's humor is another's outrage.
