Hey, I'm back home after the blizzard. I stayed at my Mom's last night in case the power went out or something bad happened. The plow snagged their cable and ripped it off the house. There's limbs down everywhere. I slid backwards into a parked car in the gas station lot. My hitch put a hole in the guy's bumper. I told him I'd pay for it. He's going to get an estimate tomorrow, he said. I figure $600-$800. Not my best storm experience. It could have been worse. I'm going to spend tomorrow taking relatives across town with the 4X4.
I went back through the post. I'm spinning my wheels. My buddy is looking through a pattern book the size of the Yellow Pages. All I can think of is the dozen or so patterns we use. Any Mayfly and nymph would qualify, but I'd like to put together something really nice.

Rob, Sorry for all the storm mis-haps. While you guys are fighting storms and such, we're wondering where all our snow is. Had to cancel a sledding party due to lack of snow!

Just wondering exactly what "two stages" a mouse has???? In-the-water.....and in-the-bass???? Dat's an easy one Tex. First it's an imago, next it's emergent mouse poopa........

You are welcome to some Alberta snow. We got a foot plus last weekend, another foot by this Saturday and I live in the Alberta banana belt! That is on top of all the snow that was already down. Where oh where is a good old Chinook when ya need one? Time to start tying flies.

To be able to say that with such certainty tells me that you must have......at some point......actually........... Never mind, I'd rather not know that about you!!!

Basically, you tie the flies, in this case two sets of 12. You mail them to me, I make up 12 sets of everyone's 2 sets and mail them back to all the participants. You get a big variety of flies, the same amount you sent in. Clear as mud?

When do I need to have all these tied? Do I just pick a favorite pattern?

Due date has yet to be consensed. Offer your opinion of a do-able one, stay tuned. 2 stages of the same bug or food or whatever. So like an emerger and the adult. (for a total of 24) And if you want in, declare your intent (don't just ask questions about the swap- that's too indefinite). You'll know you've made the big time when MissTreated puts your name in the list that occasionally shows up- the last one of which looks like: 1. Sitka deer 2. mACrABBIT 3. Troutfly 4. Rob P 5. Rob P's friend 6. Castandblast 7. Misty 8. ScottThornley 9. 10. 11. 12.
