I'm thinking it will come delivered with a 12" LOP and Pink flames running down the forend, oh yeah and a Jolly Roger decal on the buttstock... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Accraholic, I'll state again, McMillan has done me right far more often than I've had problems. Even in the past when I have had a few problems, they handled it to my satisfaction.
However, if any company is going to tell their customers, "tough [bleep], you'll get it when you get it, regardless of our mistake", then it deserves to be aired.
McMillan does make the best stock going, and I will continue to buy from them. Had they handled it like I would have, I would have never uttered a peep of this fiasco. The bottom line is that I understand that mistakes happen, I called in a friendly tone to try and get it worked out to my satisfaction (remember that I am the customer), and they basically told me to F-off.
What Kelly told me is that if they had to move my stock to the front , they would have to set up the CNC inletting machine just for my stock and it would cost them a lot of money to do just that one stock. Well, guess what, it was their mistake, so they should have to pay for it.
In my real business, if I make a mistake, I send a truck back out to cover it, even though it eats up far more than 100% of the profit I'd make on the delivery. I guess I just view my customers differently than McMillan does.
I didn't mention this to McMillan, nor have I here yet, but I am taking a loss on this stock, not even including my time and shipping cost to return the wrong ones, because I am giving my customer a discount, out of my own pocket, because his order is not going to come in when expected. I was not even at fault in this matter, yet I am willing to do what I can to make it right for my customer. I'm not asking McMillan to cover that discount, I view it as a cost of doing business and keeping my customers happy.
They do make a great product, and for the most part provide great service. In this case they are providing piss poor customer service and it deserves to be pointed out.

I'm in.
A5 HEAVY filled,SUCKS inlet,Decelerator at 13.5" LOP,3 S/S studs in the usual locations,Badger bottom inlet and a KungFu barrel contour.
Coloration will be Purple Flame, though a Desert Camo Flame scheme sorta appeals to my senses, despite my having never seen one. Thoughts?
Cain't decide on a long action or short, but a Chubber 7mm Remmie Mag throated for 162's nestled in the mag box,do have a certain "wang" to it. More thoughts?
I'm camping on extry actions,in both lengths,but the 1-8" Chubber 223AI do beckon(despite my not having a s/a .378" donor on hand).
Am thinking Lynn will both recognize my voice/locale and Kelly will get a scald on my pending handle.
A5's rule the roost,so somebody talk me into a 1-8" 6BR for my .473" s/a S/S donor(s).
Too late...the Chub 223AI wins by default....................(grin)

I understand you CAS, and I agree 100%, I do business EXACTLY like you do, and I'm shocked by this trouble you are having with Kelley and crew.
I'm poking fun at all the copycat wining of those who are jumping up and down about all their troubles now that you have stepped up and aired your situation, too bad they didn't have the balls to step up alone...

I'm going to replace the PSS (piecea-[bleep]-stock) stock on my .223 with the 40X barrel. It shoots good now, but I just wanted to cheer Kelley up, and get back to a thorobred(sp) collection. ('cept for the Ti)

Just because there is a frenzy of crying on the internet, doesn't mean a guy has to believe it. Do you have the balls to specify just who it is you don't believe. Roads

I had a run in with Remington similar to this about 15 years ago. Have yet to even pick up another Remington rifle to even look at it. While Remington may make a fine rifle or shotgun, they aren't the only game in town. Neither is McMillan. If they can't make mistakes right and treat their customers right, find another stockmaker. Wonder how they'd react if the check had bounced or a stop payment was put on the card?

For those of you defending McM, just keep in mind what happened to CAS could happen to you! They screwed up 3 of the last 4 orders I placed with em. They fixed two (though I was out shipping $$) and I ate the third. As for calling this a crying thread, thats pretty lame. Someone like CAS gets screwed and you fellas are quick to judge and poke fun etc. Sounds like some of you are more faithful to McM rather than a Campfire member of good standing. Keep in mind, you could be wearing the "Screwed by McM" shirt next.
Its basically become a crap shoot when ordering from McMillan anymore. I think they are growing tired of the mistakes they make and have decided the customer will just have to live with their (McM's) mistakes.

The World is a big place and someone is always gonna have a beef, somewhere.
I've no doubt that CAS is disgruntled, but his misfortune isn't gonna sway MY taste in handles, nor the manner in which I communicate with Manufacturers that happen to cater to my whim.
My observations are simplistic. Pards and I are over 50 McMillan handles deep, less a single issue. I believe that sampling to be inclusive enough,to warrant the "trend" moniker,as opposed to a "fluke" rating.
Secondly,McMillan is simply without peer. BT/DT.
My World is simple. SUCKS,McMillan,Leupold,PacNor,X bullets and Re-series propellants.
None of that a "fluke" either. My shirt says "McMillan RULES"................
