Start at 73 and see what you get. R22 will give you more speed, but H4831 works darn well in the 300 with 165-200grn pills as well.

Yeah, I hear a lot about R22, but H4831 was suggested since it is one of the Hodgdon extreme powders and well suited for long range being insensitive to temp swings. I ran both through Quickload, and velocity difference didn't amount to a hill of beans.

I shoot 75.5gr of H4831SC with 180gr Accubonds. They are running in the 3050fps range for velocity. Groups were good all the way from 74-76gr.
In my rifle, H4831 shoots noticeably better (more consistent) than RL22.

Thanks Kevin. The high BC on the 180's and ~ 3000 fps is the direction I plan on going. Have you tried 165's? My barrel has a 1-11" twist.

Did not mess with 165's at all... and I didn't not try the Bergers in this rifle either. I shoot VLD's in another rifle and was pretty much committed to shooting Accubonds or Partitions in this one.
My rifle (Rem 700XCR) is a factory 1:10" twist at 24" and the only other bullet I tried to get it to shoot was the 200gr AB's. Shot them OK, but not as well as the 180's. I would think your 11 twist would be fine with the 180's and even the 190 VLD's.

Is 3.830 written on the target your COAL? Is that a single shot rifle?

My 300 Win. Mag. H4831sc
Here are some of my loads.
76 grs. H-4831 168 T-TSX = 3060fps with 1/2" groups.
78 grs. H-4831 168 T-TSX = 3170fps. .392" groups SD 4 ES 7.4
The 78 grain load shoots great all the time.
76 grs. H-4831 180 NBT/NAB Will will shoot 1/2" or less with the best being.192" with the velocity at 3082 fps.
This powder works good for me in my 300. Another powder that works good is H-1000 great groups with a littel faster in speed.

3.505 is the exact oal for a 168 gr ttsx,this group was shot with Borden Timerline repeater,accubonds were 3.527 oal and were shot with a custom Rem 700!

The magazine in my Sako TRG is like 3.75", so I should have all the room that I need. I have not checked yet to see if it has a long throat.
I still need to buy glass for it, but want to get some loads ready.

Lots of folks have advocated 75/H4831 w/ 180s in this caliber, but my rifle shoots noticeably worse w/ 4831 than either of the 4350s.

OK, I went back to this thread to look at the load data that you posted again, and clicked on the link. VERY VERY funny. I saw one of the "episodes" before, but watched all of them this time.
