I'm with you... it is a virtual guarantee of a great day when I roll over and see "7:57" on the clock!
8:57 is a great time to go to bed and read. Always gives me pleasant thoughts...
I identify w/ this one too, "you drive a 15 year old truck so you can take your $750 a month payment and buy a rifle instead."

If you strip the paint off your truck to have it re-blued The BATF calls and asks if you can help identify firearms they can't Ammo manufacturers had to lay-off workers because you went on vacation for a month Your gun safe is larger than your double-door fridge

I built a new house once and new streets have land recorded as "Lot" numbers. After the estate is complete the local council (Government)records and registers the street and allocates formal and perpetual house numbers for the lot.
Well, the street was called Springfield. When I went into the council to find out what the new number was going to be, the clerk said "ought six". What is unusual is that Aussies do not speak like that. They would simply say number 6, unless the guy was a shooter and knew it would draw humour from me. It did.

I am not a rifle looney! My shrink says that the 4 rifles I've bought this month (January 2011) are therapy.

If the gate to the subdivision you live in is 4570, 3006... NO joke local subsdivision in my area has a gate code of 4570, and was 3006 before that. Somewhere within those gates is a Looney, wish I knew who he was.....

You are a "looney" if you think there is a difference between a 270 & a 280 or between a 260 & a 6.5x55 or between a 7-08 & a 308 and on and on

If I pass one of the banks and see 250, 257, or 757 on the clock, I just grin. It's milepost markers that get me everytime. They grab my attention when the numbers are 223, 257, 308, 338, etc. I'll even catch myself mumbling "good caliber" when I pass them. Otherwise, I don't even notice 'em.

You are a "looney" if you register your newborn daughter's name as "Purdy" and don't tell your wife for a few months

Armen, I saw your take on it all, the Benson exit (308) and the Wilcox exit (338), on I10, no? I used to drive by those each day on the way to my Grandpas ranch.

I'm terrible at remembering numbers, I have a company credit card for gas. To pay at the pump, some pumps ask for the Zip code. The shop is in a different town then I live but the first couple of numbers are the same as here, the last and only ones that are different are 375. The first time I looked up the Zip code, I thought H&H, no problem.
