I guess we'll have to fight over who gets the 99C! My money is on Ben, to win THAT fight.... Yeah, you're right. Most of the time he takes a shotgun or my '92 Winchester .25-20. He doesen't really like to lug the 8 1/2 lb cannon around that much anyway!

Ben, If you need a replacement scope, I've got a painted leup 2-7x laying around. I could mail it to you if ya want it. It ain't much to look at, but mechanically it is good. Good on ya Don...Ben is the real deal....

Huntsman22 / Don, this is mtcurman's dad here. Your generosity towards Ben is over and above. Thank you. This blessing could not come at a better time for him. Best of all I have always taught him that if he is generous, people will be generous to him. You are proving that lesson to be true for him. Rest assured that you have sown seed in good ground. Hope that Ben and I get to meet you someday soon. Geoff Zimmerman

1966 Winchester M70V .243 with 2 ounce 2 stage Canjar trigger and Bausch & Lomb Elite 4200 6-24x40 AO. I primarily push 55 and 58 grainers downrange, with the occasional 80 weight too. 1998 Savage Tactical FP10 with SSS competition trigger, kelvar-fiberglass thumbhole stock with 2.5" wide beavertail forearm, and black tactical bolt handle. Wears a Leupold VM3 4-16x50 Tactical Long Range Mil-Dot over a 15MOA shimmed mount. The gun routinely shoots sub 0.4 MOA with 168 and 175 BTHPs sent by a stiff charge of Varget. Remington XP100 in 7mmBR wearing a Fajen stock and Burris 2-7X LER scope. 120gr BTs @ 2,555 fps MV via N133 are the standard here.

Rem 700 22-250 I need to swap the scope on it. I hate the 50mm obj. and high rings.

Double barreled Tractor Supply 4D battery Noisy-Smoker that goes Prrkkrrrrrrrrrrrr! as fast as he'll pull the trigger.... Forces Dad to shoot before coyotes get too close.... or hunt the very deaf, and very dumb...This old dog was so ancient he lost his teeth....somehow...grin. Thinking these two fell to the same rig that did in this bobcat... Montana 7-08...frequently serves double duty...grin. DJ

Sure enough!
But he and his brothers & sisters aren't too good at waiting their turn until I'm done with stuff...grin.
They kill a couple of critters, and suddenly it's "my rifle" this and "my rifle" that...grin...Tickles me to hear them!
Helps Mama understand why we need good rigs in a variety of configurations!
They can claim the Montucky 243 and 223, but I'm keeping the 7-08 a little longer!
My boy laid a pretty good trap for me on the little 7 under the ruse of needing more firepower for that next hog. He nearly pulled it off - had my rifle in his mits, but no shot opportunity presented. He's crafty.

Kids is the most powerful Testimony,in what works and why.
They've no bias and cut right to the chase...connecting alotta dots along the way.
Folks should bend ears more,in their direction...............

Only went out once or twice and every coyote we saw was probably a mile away and in high gear! Maybe Ill still find some time over spring break.

My favorite is this Ruger single shot #1V .220 Swift shooting a 55 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip. It ruins their whole day. whelennut This Remington 700 .223 is topped with a 15X Weaver and both my sons think this rifle is the cat's ass. I don't think the badger liked it though. This one is a Model 70 in .223, It is a Heavy Varmint and I like it the best of the .223's. The newest purchase is a Howa stainless heavy barrel .223 It is the lowest priced but you wouldn't know that by how it performs.
I like to do my hunting BEFORE I pull the trigger! There is only one kind of dead, but there are many different kinds of wounded.

Here's three pics of my Ruger #1 and #3 that are chambered in my .204 Wasp. The #1 has a 11" twist Krieger barrel and has been to S.D. PD shootin the last two years. The #3 was rebarreled last Oct. and I've shot two coyotes with it this winter. Shooting 40 V-Max and 39 BlitzKing at 4000-4100 in both. The #3 has 11" twist Pac-Nor and both have Kepplinger set triggers and 6.5-20 x 40 Leupolds. The #1 had been a .225WW and I had shot PD's with it for 13 years before haveing it rebarreled a couple of years ago. The #3 was a .219 Wasp and had been shot 6000+ times since 1994. The .204 Wasp has same body and shoulder as the .219 Wasp with a .232 Dia. .250 long neck. Case length is 1.770 and it holds about 32.5gr of Varget to base of bullet. This pic is from May,09 PD shoot. This 634 yd PD was shot with 40gr V-Max. First time out with the #1 shooting a fireforming load with 29.5gr N135 at 4040fps. This #1 in .219DW PDK is another wildcat of mine. The barrel is Shilen 14" twist. Case is 1.900 long 30-30 with a 35* shoulder. My PD load is 50gr V-Max,33.5gr Varget for 3750 fps. Dave
