Nice lookin' rig!!

I'm guessing from the ring height that the previous owner must have been John Kerry......

Me either. Often whether prone or offhand a bit of height isn't a bad thing. Of course all things in moderation.

Please allow me to join this exclusive club! "Cheek Weld" may be important on a shotgun... But... Well, you know!

I hear 'ya.

Al, I got out of the 'big' .17's some years back. I sold everything but one Dewey cleaning rod. When I saw this gun for sale, my brain said: "Well, you do have a good Dewey cleaning rod....." cry crazy

It's a slippery slope, buddy. grin

What a great find and a super setup and in my favorite caliber. Way to go Al.

I don't know if its a wives tale or not, but personally I don't care for scopes mount real high. Just not comfortable to me.

I'm used to having scopes on my hunting rigs mounted higher than the 'gurus' tell us they should be.

'Course, that's probably because I'm one of those Benchrest shooters ...... whistle
