Al, Odd how things change in a short month..... You get into the 17 thang, and I just sold off my barrel and all the related goodies...... a vicious circle we trek...............

I have to say I've never quite understood the insistence on having the scope as low as possible....  -Al Me either. Often whether prone or offhand a bit of height isn't a bad thing. Of course all things in moderation.

Of course all things in moderation. Please allow me to join this exclusive club! "Cheek Weld" may be important on a shotgun... But... Well, you know!

Al, I got out of the 'big' .17's some years back. I sold everything but one Dewey cleaning rod. When I saw this gun for sale, my brain said: "Well, you do have a good Dewey cleaning rod....."   It's a slippery slope, buddy.

What a great find and a super setup and in my favorite caliber. Way to go Al.
I don't know if its a wives tale or not, but personally I don't care for scopes mount real high. Just not comfortable to me.

Very nice.. Your Chiropractor will be pleased.. I'm used to having scopes on my hunting rigs mounted higher than the 'gurus' tell us they should be. 'Course, that's probably because I'm one of those Benchrest shooters ......
