So, what's the scoop on the new Barnes LRX long range bullet?

"the new LRX bullet design increases B.C. values by increasing ogive and boat tail lengths to improve the bullets� long-range ballistic performance."

Been looking all over the web and haven't seen a picture of one yet.

I was trying to decide between the 140gr and 150gr TTSX for my 7mm SAUM. The 145gr LRX maybe the answer I was looking for.

Haven't seen one either, but I called Barnes and one of the techs told me he though the BC would be right at .490 for the 145 for what that's worth.

Does anybody know if they have the TSX grooves? Found two pictures of the LRX bullet, one has grooves like the TSX and TTSX and one is smooth like the original X but with a plastic tip. There is a line saying that they are still testing no groove vs. three grooves. What is the final version?

If the BC of a long-ogive 145gr .284 mono-bullet is only .490 with boattail and plastic tip, I kinda figure they will wear grooves. Just a guess.....
