Get this cold here....Went below zero last night. It's hard on a thin skinned guy. Got all the outside waterin' and feedin' chores done. Nursing a bowl of chili and cussin' just having broke the tail light in the new pickup while out. Stuff breaks easy in this weather. Don't see how some of you guys put up with it.....Rant off...

If I get warm enough I may grab a rifle then go shoot a coyote in the face. I may feel better then...

Been awhile since we have had a winter like this in this region. Sun and sand sound good...

Worst winter I can remember was '83-'84.. Never saw anything like it.. It started early, like October. Cold, cold and more cold. -30F most of December and well into January, snowed like a bastid all winter but the last straw was the nearly 6" we got in early MAY!!! The next DAY I jumped on a plane and went to FL for 4 days until that crap melted..

Horrible winter, that was..

"Stuff breaks easy in this weather"

No kiddin'. Dont ever try pounding on a car window with your fist to free it up when it's frozen and the temps are well below zero. Glass gets a "little" brittle.

I have experience in this. I'm an expert. grin

A good axe head will shatter like glass chopping dead mesquite when it's real cold .

2 below down here on our part of the Mexican border right at daylight this morning--certainly a record temperature low for this date. With the wind, the wind chill was -27! Heard Juarez had -9 this morning. If so, the air pollution in El Paso must be like pea soup fog!

Yesterday near Keystone, WY the static air temp was -56 F.

In Laramie, WY factoring in the windchill it was -61F.

It was -30 F here yesterday morning, this morning was +12F and it felt quite nice! smile

We had sleet covered with snow????

Never saw that before. At first thought it was little pieces of styro-foam on the ground.

Supposed to get 2-3" of snow tonight. Was 18F. last night, which is pretty cold here.
