To what do you attribute his tanking ratings? I can't answer that one because I don't know how ratings are determined in the first place. Is it by calling people to see what they are watching? How do they determine who they call? Is it by advertising sales? Maybe people are broke. I don't know. I seldom watch him because of the time he comes on TV. I listen to him if I am in a vehicle going somewhere and can pick up a channel that carries him. That is getting harder to do. You can find a channel that carries him and Rush and in a few months there are other channels bleeding over on them. Conspiracy? Maybe (probably) is the governments fault. miles

I used to watch Glenn Beck's show when he was on CNN and when he moved to FNC. He was telling us (all of us) things we would not have heard about those in our goverment (not just the top dogs) and teaching us history as it really is, not what the MSM and the revisionist historians want allow us to know. That said . . . I can hardly bring myself to watch him anymore. Not because of how he says what he says, but because of what he says. Not because I believe he is telling us lies, but because what he is telling us is more truthful than I want to believe. When Glenn was beginning to "expose" Vann Jones, and others for what they are, about a year and a half ago, I felt like I had been punched in the gut and had to turn off that show. I have watched the show very little since then. I do feel Glenn is doing a great job of exposing the "truth" to the American people. The problem is (for me anyhow) that many people "can't handle the truth". I can handle it, just not in such large doses. I find it difficult to believe so many that run or government are such evil people. Maybe I'm just an idiot, but, as Glenn has said over and over - I still believe in the American People, just a lot fewer of them. Yup. I still turn on his program now and then, and then get gut punched again. Just too much at once. I do believe what he says. I just gotta have a life too.

Beck is always asking people to prove him wrong. So far there have been no takers. miles Probably because no one is watching. To what do you attribute his tanking ratings? Here is the example of the typical liberal idiot. The statement was made that Beck backs up what he says, and nobody proves him wrong. So instead of commenting on that, he diverts to meaningless crap, "probably because no one is watching". Well that isn't true, and he knows it. Beck has higher ratings than the douchebags on MSNBC or CNN. You can't argue with idiots, you can' argue with liberals.

I believe the article said his ratings were down 50%. Is that not true?
The article did not compare him to others.

Spanky, That Politics USA is a "liberal" site that takes its hints from the Soros-funded Media Matters. Give us a freaking break, and a little credit, [bleep]. With the election over, with a victory for now, with the power of the pinko revolution blunted, the level of interest in politics always wanes. I don't love Beck's histrionics, but he does fill a niche -- and he was stomping Obagmann in the ratings.

In my opinion Beck is not a good mouthpiece for Conservatism. He is a doom and gloom, conspiracy theorist whose childish delivery prompts well deserved criticism from the Left. The sooner he fades the better.
You don't believe in a God nor the Bible, do you!!?? His "antics" aside, Beck backs up his "claims" and assertions WITH PROOF!** (**he documents everything he "claims!") Or as others have said, he would have been cancelled long ago! But I suppose you believe all Beck has said is "coincidences," don't you!!??

Spano, Beck always calls for anyone listening or watching to do their own research. He presents his views and in case you haven't watched him lately he does his homework. Today he has encouraged all to do some critical thinking about the topic this evening. Becks topic tonight was mostly the Muslim Brotherhood, its founders and some of its members and how they along with the NON traditional American left loonies (your state is full of them), and the communists and socialists joining them worldwide are intentionally creating confusion and using it as a tool to destabilize governments whereever they can. How can you say that is gloom and doom? He ain't standing in the streets in Cairo. I am sure you have seen what is going on in Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Jordan, Iran, and Pakistan. I can see your point somewhat because he is always calling out some political stooge or pointing out who supports them and what their agendas appear to be and he does it with facts. He even challenges the White House on the Red Phone to call him if he says something that isn't right. If I don't want to watch him I change the channel. If I want to watch something or someone real stupid and off the chart I watch Lawrence O'Donnel, Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman, Ed Shultz, or Rachel. It would be interesting to see what kind of ratings the last 5 have in CA. You guys out there on the left coast need to elect some responsible fiscally prudent leader to get Sacremento under control. When CA comes to the US taxpayer for a bailout in might be prudent to be out of the market when the moderates and conservatives say no.

Watching Glenn Beck is like vomiting - it's good when it stops.
It is getting really bad when the truth makes you sick. You may not like him but he give people a dose of the truth you will never see from the main stream media

There is a lot of thoughtful comment in this thread. I doubt we could agree on the best movie, book, rifle, or counselor. Truth is truth however it is presented. Most of us want the white paper version with less gymnastics. Mys sister-in-law loves Beck because he is smart and looks cuddly! Oh well. He makes me think about subjects I did not know existed in some cases so I am thankful. I wish I did not have to watch 20 minutes of gold commercials for 40 minutes of programming - but someone has to pay the bills.

What bearing does that have on the present discussion? I will say I do not like Beck but I can see why he would appeal to someone of your brilliance.
