I'm betting the farm that it will shoot better than a stock CZ 527 or Ruger 77. What do you think? http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/25WV

WEll the Ruger is known to be a crap shoot for accuracy out of the box...
the CZ is known to be pretty accurate..
I'd view the Savage as a nice package available, for a decent price..
Therir offering in 5.7 x 28 has got my gears turning a little...

I dunno, my 527 in 204 shoots about the same size groups as my model 10 in .223. Don't know if a 25 would do that much better than a 10 accuracy wise, but it looks like it weighs a hell of a lot less than my model 10 FPLE2A1.

and yet again, the lefties get screwed.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Don't think I would bet against a CZ 527.

Some members at the sportsman club have 527s and 77s and I believe there is one or two Winchester 43s. Based on the friendly competition I have witnessed, the 527 has a slight edge over the 77s, but I am not factoring in the shooter capability. I have a Savage 25 on order and can't wait to dazzle the boys.

Will be waiting on the range report. Looks like a very nice little rifle. Wish more companies would get serious about the hornet.

I want one in 223. My local Academy has the 25LV for $569 so I'm wondering how much the WV is going to cost and when it will hit the shelves.

We have had 2 of those CZ 527 rifles and they both shot under .500-MOA with factory Hornady bullets.
The Savage is a good rifle but a little heavy after put that scope, mounts and rings plus ammo in the gun. It will weigh in over 8-lbs. The 527 CZ will be lighter to carry!

I have a 527 hornet that just shoots lights out with Lil Gun powder. I would be inclined to go with the 527 for the set trigger alone. I simply cannot accurately shoot the model 25 because of the trigger. Too heavy for me, but maybe not for others.
On the other hand, I saw a shooting buddy shoot a .300 group with his 77/Hornet and 40 gr. VMax yesterday. He could not get groups like that until he switched to 13 gr. of Lil Gun from 4227.

My 527 American in 22 hornet shoots 1/4 inch five shoot groups. Did so first time out of the box. It is now a K-hornet and shots even better. Not sure because it shoots better than I do.
The first time I shot myself in the head...

I bet it will shoot pretty good. I had a savage model 40 that shot pretty good as well. The only thing I didn't like was it kind of a pain to load each shot. I had a ruger and it didn't shoot very well at all. If I was going to buy a hornet now; it would be a browning if I could find one.

This is a bad time of the year, as the factory's are making the changes on new lines and dealers have relinkquished most of their stock waiting for the new models or years supply to get to the distributors and then they will receive their quota.
