They are currently out of stock. I sent them an email asking when they will run more. As soon as they do, I'll buy a hundred.

Midway shows remington 350 rem mag brass in stock. I haven't had any problems with it.

Bet your rig would handle the 225 gr TSX bullets. Check out TAC powder...awesome combination.

What's your barrel twist?

I have a box of the Nosler 225gr AccuBond. I'm going to try a Reloader 7 load.

After the AccuBonds are gone you can bet I'll end up using the TSX. Probably the 200gr, though. I've never heard of TAC podwer.

I believe its 1:16 twist. I could be wrong, though. I'll measure it and get back to you.

the Remington's are a 1 in 16 and my 673 handles the 225 TSX just fine. I run them at about 2800 fps from my 22" barrel using TAC powder.

Your 1 in 15 should be good for longer, heavier bullets than a Remington. Certainly 250's and maybe even heavier.

RUger's are a 1 in 14 twist.

Just checked Shilen's site. It's listed as a 1:14. I imagine the 225gr AccuBonds will be more accurate than the gun itself. After all, I turned the barrel to feather weight contour and put it in an MPI Pounder stock. She's a touch on the light side. Not so nice at the range, but I've never felt recoil when the cross-hairs are on fur. And...it kills the frak out of pigs!!

Look at Wisconsin Cartridge, Custom Cartridge, etc. I just used it over the weekend for wild boar with the 180 Barnes (Lead Free- Condor Range California) with great success. It is a favorite for big woods whitetail, bear and moose. Recoil is relative but I believe the .350 recoils less than the .450.

Years ago a good friend had a M700 Classic in .350RM, and made his own brass from almost any kind of long belted mangle-um cawt-tridge, with an RCBS .350RM trim die, a hack saw and a file! Got instant 'Whelen performance.' Was a very nice rifle.

Keep the .350 for its versatlity. grin

I've had some pretty extreme performance from those 225 grain TSX's out of my Whelen at 2630 fps... even at some wayyyyyyyy out there shots. It does expand very, very well at the velocities you'd be getting from that sweet 350.

Hey quickdraw, How about a very nice sporterized Yugo Mauser 48 in 350? It's a featherweight.

That's tempting, but my wife can count! I've got to get another couple of guns shooting before I take on a new one.

Very tempting.
