Interesting, with the bear-on-the-beach photo, he stands there having just had two fatal, sledge-hammer, 300-gr Nosler Parts through the engine works yet stands there like, "what?" So much for knock-down power

I'll talk to Spike here in a bit and see if he can post the photo of the bear scapula. It is not really distinct, but the shadow of my knife clearly shows through the back-lit bone. Ain't no heavier bone than any other critter of equal mass. the ridge on the outside of the scapula is deeper than most, but the bone is not heavier.

I was honestly surprised the THS bullet found an exit after going through a number of feet of bear, even though it failed to find bone. I "sense" equally hit bears with X bullets do a lot less standing after being shot.

Immediately after this the bear went up farther on the beach, returned, then sagged onto its rear and pulled itself into the water, completely submerging itself. While all that was going on there was a little more lead delivered to the general vicinity, but they failed to find flesh.

Nice pixtures, Art! Life in Alaska (as the saying goes) does not suck! Looks like it took all three dudes to get that bear into position on the rock pillow. Definately a keeper!

Great shot of the Eagle. Gotta love a raptor!

Great pics and unreal scenery (at least to a flat-lander like me ). Good job and thanks....

I'm definately going to have to save my pennies for that lens! I've had to get rid of a bunch of photos i took with the USM EF lens i have cause of my hands shaking while takin them. Would have been good pics of a bear up close and personal, if it would have turned out.
again i enjoyed the pics.
