That's great news I just have to look into if Brownells can ship the Bold trigger to Canada I know I can get Timney's. Question to those that have installed either one. The Facory trigger on the model 50being a military type sits pretty far up in the trigger guard. Does either the Timney or the Bold sit farther back in the factory trigger guard when installed?

Luckily timmney triggers for mausers are the cheapest in their series about $50. I say go for it.

I put a Timney in a Mark X whose trigger had been "improved" to the point it was unpredictable. A caveman could do it. Only thing I didn't like was with the Timney the bolt didn't lock down when on safe. Were I to replace a trigger in one today I would probably try the open Dayton trigger with a Buehler type safety. Either that or as mentioned above try to locate one of the older Mark X units.

+1 for the Timney, got one on a Mauser sporter in 8mm Gibbs. Great trigger.

The first thing I did with my model 50 was to replace the goofy stock trigger with a Timney and have a model 70 two position safety installed. It's now a 7x64 Brenneke.

I just looked at this thread to see if someone had made the stock trigger work. I am pretty handy with triggers and actions, and never could fix one of these, so always put a Timney in. Looks like everyone else has the same opinion!

Tabs4u- I have a Higgins Model 51- same action-different stock. I replaced the trigger w/ a timney. All that was required was a little inletting and a drop of loctite blue to hold it in place . Great improvement. mountainjam

I was thinking Timney even before I saw the overwhelming vote. The Bold looks interesting and I would want to check it out. I know you can't go wrong with a Timney.
