Did a little fishing yesterday with a pard and his boys.
Took a few minutes as we were leaving to run a few through the M57.
25 yards, off-hand, it maintained softball sized groups with no problem on just a target board (no definitive aiming point).
Field supported position, and we tried something at longer ranges....
There are DAMNED few pistols that afford the ability to maintain a 12 o'clock hold, with no hold-over, and bust basketball sized rocks at a lasered 153 yards.
Fast, very fast. Report is far more like a rifle shot than a pistol shot; bullets get to targets FAST.
Recoil is fast, but there's little "mass" to it; just a quick, light "snap"; very controllable.
Trigger is WAY heavy, but crisp. A little trigger work, and this thing ought to really impress.

It would be fun to see what it'll do to an old car, if you find a junker in the woods.

Didn't know you had a 57. I've been tempted a few times of late. I probably have more calibers now than I should have though.
Pics?

Regarding your bad trigger pull - my M57 had a bad milling burr at the top of the left grip panel that would bind the trigger and safety. I spent about 2 minutes with a sharp pocket knife shaving that burr off and it made a HUGE improvement.

He's talking about the Yugoslavian version of the Tokarev pistol.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.
