Can someone enlighten to the differnce between Meopro, Meostar and Artemis scopes made by Meopta, I have read good reviews about Meopros but not the other two. Looking for a new mid price glass ($500-600) for low light.

The Artemis lines are older, and don't have the latest coatings. The Meostar is still their top line, but they're relatively heavy and have shorter eye relief than the new Meopro. I've been using a 3-9x42 Meopro a bit lately and it's a nice scope. The eye relief is easy to get along with, and it's plenty of scope to get me in trouble before and after legal hunting hours.

To add, the Artemis is also a steel tube design, while the Meostar and Meopro are aluminum. I own Meostar Binos and a Meostar scope, both are fantastic visually, and never had a problem mechanically. A step above Leupold and other mid-priced gear, in my opinion.

I sent an email to Meopta asking about the Meopro. They replied stating that the Meopro and the Meostar use the exact same glass. The internals of the scope are different however.

Chex with Alex Roy from Eurooptic.com He sells them at great prices and is very familiar with the construction and function between the Meopta models.
Meopta are excellent scopes.

I have two Meopro scopes. They will hang with my Kahles, and actually I might give the edge to the Meopta because they don't have the black donut effect when viewing through.
I heard they increased the eye relief on the Meostars recently. Can't confirm.

By internals, do you mean optical design along with the mechanical aspects? Same glass doesn't necessarily equal same view.

I believe Meopta supplies the glass in the Zeiss Conquest scopes don't they? Maybe a few others too.

I have a low power variable Meostar R-1 and love it! It has great glass and is built like a tank. It is not light, but I have it mounted on a ten pound CZ550 in .375 H&H so weight isn't a primary concern for me. I got it gently used at a great price from a Campfire member and couldn't be happier. I wouldn't hesitate to get another.

I have a Meostar R1 on my CZ 550 30.06 and love it great glass, I also picked up mine from Campfire member. My friend has a Meopta Spotting scope which is where I found out what great products Meopta has.

The Meopros are pretty light. I believe the 3-9 that I bought is 14oz, not bad for a stout scope with a large eyepiece.

The adjustments on my Meopro feel robust. No squish, a click is a click. They could use a better knob for finger tip manipulation, and a definite upgrade would be better markings for the adjustment dials.

Glad you are enjoying the meopro. It is IMO the best 3x9 1" tube scope on the market. Leupy isnt even in the same class. Meopta definitely hit a homerun with the meopro.
