I would be up for a goat hunt! I drew a buck and a doe/kid tag in SD a few years ago. That was A LOT of fun and they are tastier than heck.

In fact I guess the buck I shot is in my avatar. I hunt deer in the shotgun zone mostly and bowhunt so slinging led at long ranges at speed goats was really fun for me.

Ryan,

I just thought of this now. You uncle Kirk lives in Rapid City now right? That would be the guy to talk to about hunting out there I'm sure.

yup he does, we talk every so often, he helped me with the inspection on my house I'm buying, and he has all my rifles and shotguns at his place since I'm staying in a little cabin for now.
I know he has an antelope mount or two, but I don't think he's hunted them much the last few years. he's focused more on his elk hunting ground in montana now. I know he has some contacts in WY and over the counter doe tags are cheap there, so that might be the way we go at least to start out. I've always loved antelope and think they are a blast to hunt, and they make awesome spaghetti sauce! but I digress, I could talk about this stuff for days smile

Great job, RWS!

Finally put the boat in the water today. Five minutes later we pulled it out. Engine started fine, idled fine, but wouldn't rev up. mad Seems that the throtle linkage was froze up. Pulled it back to my place and went to work. We (SIL) managed to get it freed up and working again.

Back to the Wisconsin River and away we went. Slow afternoon. We caught 5 Walleyes, but only one of them was legal. It was sure great to be back out on the water.

Depending on the politics of it all don't forget to look up a NRCS guy by the name of Larson.

The guys I hunted antelope with said they are nothing to eat. Just have to make sausage out of them. I kept the back straps out of both goats and a roast out of each. The rest went to sticks and summer sausage. After I tried the back straps and roasts I was ticked that I didn't keep more cuts for the grill. That meat was just plain awesome and the wife and kids really liked it too. I know better now.

I heard that Kirk has elk land in MT. He took my garbage truck driver out there and he ended up shooting a HUGE bull elk with his bow. It was like a 7 x 7 or something like that.

He's a good guy. Say hi to him for me next time you see him.

Speaking of concrete driveways....my estimate I got on friday was $9.16/sf.

It was knocked down to $7/sf if my neighbor will do his at the same time. Dude you got a heck of a deal on your mud.

Does anybody know the price of asphalt vs. concrete? I would think with so much less prep work required that aspahlt would be much cheaper. No?

It used to be. With the price of oil it's changed. Ahphalt may be a bit cheaper. Concrete lasts longer, and looks better IMO.

Well, several things are apparent .... It's been determined that I'm "mean" and this probably won't be the first time I have sensitivity traing. You can't "yell" at contractors anymore, and Whoopie Cushions are still funny.

Tom.....Next you're going to tell me there is no swearing allowed on a jobsite!

I thought yelling at contractors was mandatory, just like the contractors calling the engineers a bunch of idiots!
