Gas is $3.72/gallon in South Carolina.
While casting from a fishing pier in Florida once I had a pelican swoop and grab my shrimp bait in mid air.It hooked him and I had to pull him in and unhook him.The regulars on the pier said that it happened quite often.

Heading to the cabin to get the tractor.

Me and Nate riding in on 4 wheeler, putting the tractor back together (loader and box blade have to go back on)

Then back home.

Hoping all goes well on the great mud run.

Packing, ugh I hate it.

I'm looking at a storage building tomorrow. It is the bigest so far that I've looked at in my price range. I'm hoping the 10' X 15' is big enough for all my stuff.:) I looked at 3 of them yesterday and 2 of them had lots of standing water in them and the other one stunk musty really bad.

Friends of mine have room in their shop and they said they would store my snowmobile in the summer and my 4 wheeler in the winter. So I'm glad I don't have to worry about that.

It is amazing what a person accumulates in 13 years. A friend of mine is having a garage sale in June so I will put a lot of stuff on there.

Dave, I have a nice corian cutting board for the shack. I think it will fit really nice on the counter. If you are interested.

We took the 4 wheeler in on the mud trail, it was actually way better than I expected but it is still spring time with soft ground so the 4 wheeler was a good choice for an "adventure free" trip tonight.

I'd be up for a chickenbuck run but I have a carshow weekend June 11 then camping with ma & the kids the following weekend so it would have to really be early June.

miss, the cutting board sounds awesome, i don't know what that is but I'm sure it's better than what we are using now lol!..

we need some elk horns up on that shack. wish I coulda shared in the binladen smile

too bad we weren't closer missy I could probably buy most of what you're gonna sell for my new house.

just found out they want the closing date may 31st. sounds great til you look at a calendar. its the tuesday after memorial day, so not only will I pay a premium for the seasonal cabin I'm staying in, I get to move in the middle of the week right smack dab in the middle of our busiest time. oh well, I'm thankful I have a place finally and I can get my dog back, she's been up north with friends for the last month

Aint that the way it goes

I ran into mom and dad in Walmart. Dad said he is going out fishing later.

Dave, I talked to that guy that made my beaver chopper mittens today. I asked him how much he would charge to make a bobcat hat. He said it would take about 1 1/2 pelts (depending on the size of the cat) and if you had them tanned already he would charge about $75. The ones he makes are kind of like a bomber hat, but he said you can wear it 3 different ways.

Usually for me it is. I went anyway, couldn't take it anymore. I caught 3 in 3 hours so it was a little slow. Biggest was 17", smallest was about 7".

Muffy,

I'd love to own a pair of beaver mitts. Does this guy sell them regularly? I'd make my own if I could find some beaver pelts reasonably priced somewhere.

If you have a contact for him and you think he is willing, I'd appreciate hearing more about him.

Huh, Lemme check my vermin freezer, I think I have a little better than 1.5 bobcat grin

I have to make sure they are ok though and I'll have to finish tanning.

Does he need garment tanned?

Back on line. Gas prices in the Portland area is $3.93. Saw one place at 3.82 for cash, 3.92 for credit cards.

Volunteered at the grandsons school last friday for a jogathon. No, I didn't jog. Grandson ran 1.8 miles. Not bad for a 6 year old.

Weather has been typical Oregon, rainy and cool.

It is beautiful here today. Sunny 70'ish. I put a fire pit in tonight after work. I'll be burning stuff this weekend. I was thinking about taking a fishing trip to DL soon. Maybe even sunday if the weather is nice. It looks iffy so far this weekend though.
