Big Book of Cartridges
Volume One
From Guns and Ammo and Hunting

I don't see a publication date, but somewhere around and about May-June 1998.

7MM Mauser-by Finn Aagaard

Perhaps a reprint, but doesn't state it is one.

Dennis Hall's rifle was a tang Ruger M77 with a long factory throat. I owned the same rifle, which also had the same longish throat. His loads were off-the-chart and way over any published data at the time. But I tried his loads, starting much lower and gradually working up. Although there was a pucker in my behind, I found that my rifle, too, handled his hot loads with little sign of high pressures. HOWEVER, my chrono showed velocities around 150 fps slower than Dennis'. Was it the rifle....or the chronograph....or his lot of powder? I burned up around 2 lbs of the old H-450 trying to catch up with Dennis, without result. But I had my fun in the trying......

If some publishing company or whoever put all those articles together in one book I would buy it, and I know of a few other 7mm Spanish Mauser users who would as well.

Not to be too flipant but there are also a number of 7x57 and 275 users of many nations other than the Spanish model who would also like a copy. wink
