I know Keith down at Mount'n High fairly well. He's a straight guy and wouldn't intentionally delay or hide anything. It took 'em about 16 months to get an antelope done, but was worth the wait.

I know that he had some guys leave last fall and had to get some new staff to train up. If you've ever seen bad taxidermy work, you won't regret waiting for Keith and the guys to do yours up right.

There was a time when his work was good, never great but good. His work started going bad when Jim left. I just had a friend from Georgia that was told over and over and over his bear was done and all that was needed was the felt backing. He went to the shop and the bear was not there.It was at the tanner and had not even been started. Lucky for him the tanner was 20 miles away and he went and picked it up.He was lied to over and over again. If you can't trust someone why would you want to take your animals to them. There no reason for it to take 15,16.....24 months to get an animal done.

Yes, finally got mine a year later after he said 8-10 months. Plus my buddy's mount was broken because Mount'n High did not use any packing material, only bolting it to the side of the wooden box. Mine was completely loose in the box, which caused matting on the side of the mount. I also immediately realized the horns were not the horns of the animal I killed. Pictures confirmed it was not even close to the same horns.

sorry that happened to you....I tried to warn people on here about what was happening at Mount'n High Taxidermy... but was thrown under the bus for it. Keith is a lying piece of trash. Go to Timberline Taxidermy there the best on the front range or Colorado for that matter.

Why would we care if you got screwed and didn't do your homework.

I'm not going to give you the list of people that are better than your guy for fear you would call them and infest their lives but Dogcatcher is a DAMN good award winning taxidermist and I would go to him before I went to anybody in Colorado Springs.

Hell, he could do better work than your guy if he mounted a deer using a homemade form made with newspaper, plaster of paris, a putty knife, bailing wire, duct tape, a buckskin jacket from the late 1960's, dime store marbles for eyes and a lump of coal for the nose
