Anybody know where I can find some 170gr 30cal hollow point bullets. Remington seems to be the only one that to make (factory) 170-30/30 JHP�s. & everybody seem�s to sell out quick.
I�d like to handload some.

MidwayUSA, Graf and Sons, Natchez Shooters Supply, Midsouth Shooters Supply. All on the net. Don't know if they have them or not.

BTW, those Remington 170 gr. HPs are actually better penetrators than the SP Corelokt.

If anyone actually finds a source for the 170 CLHP .30/30 bullet let me know too. I'm very curious about it as well. I have two boxes of factory stuff to test. I think it may be a real sleeper load for use on big thick stuff that isn't usually considered as .30/30 class animals. AW

Personally a BIG fan of the HPs in the .30-30. Two uncles that I hunt with every year, and often, have been using the HPs (one uses the Win. 150 gr. HP, the other the Rem. 170 gr. HP) for about 10-15 years now. An average of 6 deer per year during that time period - each - have fallen to the HPs and the results have been impressive.

All I ever found were Rem. 170 & PMC 150 "Starfire" (factory load)

The Starfire's are hard to get. You practically have to be at the store, or ordering on the web, when the truck pulls in.
I'd just like to get some 170 HP's to load myself.
