I saw this in my friend storage yesterday and thought that you folks might enjoy it. My friend shot the bobcat and told the Taxi to give him something exciting and this is what he came up with. The shed on this thing is huge. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.

Cats seem to give some taxi's fits. That one however, I wouldn't mind seeing it set up in my house.

Yeah that's what I was really impressed with. It takes a good taxi to make a cat look real. This one isn't 100% but its in the top of the ones I have seen.

Actually unless its the camera phone, to me that looks like an awful crappy job. Cat and birds. I did taxidermy and mine was far from perfect too, but this just doesn't look good at all to me. And the nose color is way off.

When all else fails, feel free to refer to reference... Nice. Smooth. Round. Correct nose. Correct colors.... I'd think that one could net a ribbon..... Oh duh... a live cat.. grins... but its ear butts are not identically located...

I don't know if it's Mike Boyce or not, but similar quality: http://www.animalartistry.com/index.phpAlso check out Phil Soucy for other cat mounts. Salmonella posted some his work the other day, and I was impressed. http://www.philipsoucy.com/about.tpl

The artist's name is Wayne Miller and he hails from Michigan. Unfortunately he isn't a commercial taxidermist. He sells his mounts on ebay. Once in a while he may undertake a commercial piece if he takes a fancy to a truly remarkable specimen.

Those ARE amazing !! I have never seen a mounted bobcat that didn't look goofy. And, I reckon I've seen about 20. These pics are truly a cut above.

Glad you posted this. I've got a Bobcat and a freakin huge Fox Squirrel at my taxidermist. All tanned, just waiting for me to deside on how to mount. I'm emailing him a couple of these "branch" photos and we'll go from there. Thanks
