i have a colt light rifle in 06, never fired it, was going to build a 260 on it, was thinking about the 155 scenar after reading scenarshooter posts,

any load data out there from experience with the bullet,,,,everyone says dont shoot the donor, i have a couple of the colts that i havent shot for future builds, maybe 6.5x280 ackley,,,,

This was with a 22.5" bbl, moly'd 155 Scenar, Win brass, 57.0gr RL15.

I use 58.0gr H4350 in my custom lefty M70 in 30-06.

Man, that is nothing to sneer at. 300 mag velocity with a little less bullet/recoil.

They shoot as well as Core-Lokts.

300 win mag velocity with 180's dumbschit, you need hooked on fonics? Might help you in your next spellin' bee.

You dim witt the thread is about 155 grain bullets in the 30-06 and you claimed that he is getting 30 mag velocities which he is indeed not getting.

With 150's in the 06 compared to 180's in the 300win mag, really close, that was my point dumba$$. Scenarshooter has proven the 30cal Scenars will both shoot and kill game, he's got the pics to prove it.

A lot of bullets in the 150 to 155 grain class can be driven to 3000 FPS in an 06, no trick there, but iti is not 300 Velocites as your original post stated.

Unless the 06 can do so with the same weights, then it lags behind the 300's

Yep I can read and the 300 gets about 200 FPS more with the same bullet

Not very well it appears. The "little less bullet" part is over his marble-sized head.
