I think MM answered the question, but I`ve shot them in my 06 too, and as in the .308, they shoot very well.
I`ve not cronied them, so don`t know what I`m getting for velocities...
What do you plan to use them for in the 06?

I've not used them but remember seeing them mentioned on Litz's site when I was poking around there.

Calvin,

I just shot some yesterday out of my 700 Ti 30-06 22" barrel.

My COAL was 3.450 which is long so I added a grain over max to 66 grains of Superformance. I have no doubt I could add more powder and be under 60,000 psi at that COAL.

My speed was 3,044. Not bad for a starting load.

This is Hodgdons data for 155's
using the Sierra HPBT.

Notice the COAL for the Hodgdon load compared to mine.

Quote
155 GR. SIE HPBT Hodgdon Suprform .308" 3.225" 59.0 2843 43,400 PSI 65.2C 3125 58,800 PSI

3,125 is skipping right along.

Imagine taking that to over 60,000 psi.....doable in my estimation.

Interesting.. I can't fit enough 4350 in the case to make it go fast. I'm going to step on the gas with some '17 tomorrow and see what it gives me.

All I have locally is the '17, so I hope it shoots. '15 did very well for me, but I'm almost out of that as well.

Yes 4350 is an oldie; but H-4350 is current.

I prefer the consistency of H-4350 and the temp resistance of the Extreme powders in general over a few fps.

4895 works well with 155 gr.

I can't fit enough of the 4350 in the case to break 2820 with the 155gr scenar.

Calvin, I've never loaded for an '06 but use both H4350 and R17 in my 300 WSM's.
'17 is about a grain slower compared to H4350, I wonder if it would be too compressed as well? Who knows, maybe it'll work great.

4350 or H-4350?

Top end H-4350 loads will need some light compression, but I use Win brass that is roomy.

Ever try a vibrator?

It works, but seriously, I don't use 4350 anymore with the 155s...I save it for the heavies, 165 and up. I just use 4895, but 4895, 4064 or Varget can drive them over 3k...there's plenty of room in the case with any of those powders.

It even seems more fitting to use old tech powders in the old '06.

I haven't ran 155's in my 06 but I get nearly 3000 FPS with 165"s and H-4350 in mine

I'm using IMR4350, so don't know if that makes a difference.

How long is that barrel to get 3k with the 165's?
