I'm looking at the 140 Partition or A-B, or maybe the 139 Hornady Spire Point or SST. I won't be using this rifle on anything larger than deer.
W-W 760 seems like a good all-around powder in this cartridge but I don't have much experience with it.
Keep your gun-hand ready and your eyes peeled.

I like the Sierra 140gr ProHunter in front of H4350. Never failed me yet and ultra accurate.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Barnes 140 TTSX or TSX loaded on top of 47.0 grains of H-4350, 42.0 Varget or 47.0 H-414.

A 7mm-08 shooting a 120gr Nosler Ballistic Tip at 2950fps mv is the single most deer-killing SOB I've ever seen. 100% DRT, in their tracks, where they stand, like a bolt of lightning DEAD.
And then I went and sold mine. Not my brightest moment. Anyway, 45gr of Varget gave me sub 3/4 MOA performance (5 rd groups) out of a stainless mountain rifle. Did I mention that I regret selling that?

120 BT and Ramshot Big Game. Hornady 139 SP and Varget in a pinch.

You'd be hard pressed to find a bullet for the 7/08 that didn't work well on deer, I think.

120gr. Ballistic Tip and Rl-15. Works at both powder burn distance and 400 yards.

I'll muddy the waters a bit more. My Remington M7 likes the Speer 130 gr SPBT behind a stiff load of R-15 or IMR4320. Deer DO NOT like this load!
I was hoarding when hoarding wasn't cool.

I ran 140 grn Sierra GK's for about 10 years over 42 1/2 grns of Varget with no problems but switched a couple years ago to 140 grn NAB for less off shoulder damage. Two years later and I am switching to NAB's in all my rifles.

Call me crazy, but I cant wait, Ive been chronoing 139 SST's and 139 IB's in my new to me mountain rifle w/ H-4350 and RL-17, loads are runnin' 2900 ish w/ the 4350 and 3000 fps. w/ the 17 in a 22" barrel. Will group both loads as soon as my stock is back from Karnis' I think they will be excellent on WT deer, anybody ever fired a 22" barreled bolt action mountain pistol . Gunner

I'll throw in my favorite load for the 139gr Hornadys. IMR-4064, I use it for a lot of calibers and it seems to be a good all around powder.

I'm using 140 Ballistic Tips over a real stiff charge of IMR 4320.
