This was my Fathers gun and at one time had a scope mounted on it. There are 2 sets of screw holes on the left side of the barrel about 3 1/4" apart. I am looking for the orginal scope mount brackets if there are any out there.

You're probably looking for the Weaver Side Base #2, and the 1" Detachable Side Mount 49350. These are available from Brownells. They may not mount the scope precisely over the centerline of the barrel but they'll be close. Those are the only factory made mounts I know of for the barrel drilled Marlins. Anything else would probably have been some kind of special made rig.
