Thinking about trying some 140 accubonds in my 7mag.
What are your best loads.

I use 70.0 gr IMR7828 with a F215 primer in Norma cases. Gives 3250 or so and great acccuracy out of my 24.5" barrel. It's 1 gr. over the IMR powder site's book maximum so work up to it.

69g H4831, R+P brass, 215GM, .003 jump, 3200 avg from 24" pipe. Kills stuff dead.
My last animal with that load was a nice mulie at 313yd. Base of the neck impact, bullet recovered under hide behind off shoulder in a textbook mushroom, DRT.

Several loads, no two the same. Now you know, exactly...well, exactly how much help other prople's 'pet loads' are worth. No way out of it, we all gotta do our own homework on charges.

I use the 140g Ballistic tip and Accubond(paper only) Rem brass 9 1/2 primer 65.5-66.0g of IMR 4350 Bullet touching the lands 3250 out of a 26" tube Accuracy is outstanding with the bullets touching or just about touching. Work up to any loads you see listed in this thread because they are all right at Max loads(your barrel and lot# of powder could be very different). Check this site for some loads reported by other shooters. http://www.centerfirecentral.com/rifledata.html

Oh GOD what in the world am I thinking about asking a question like this.... ...but since this is a reloading forum and this type of question is common, I just thought I'd see if there was a common combination that most used.....like for the 7mm08 44.5- 45 grains of RL15 or Varget and 120's seems to be a campfire standard.

Yep, it is a common hope. And it always produces lots of hopeful suggestions too. But, you see the results ...most use different loads.

Thanks for your opinion...But once again this is a reloading forum and it is were reloaders/shooters share load data. Now.... does anybody have any USEFUL LOAD DATA to share?

Well, you were basically asking for opionions. By my count, you have five loads now but they are different, that's not opinon. I gave you an alternate opinion, a valid one. If you don't like it ignore me but you're still going to have to do your own testing. Have fun!

Seems like more people like the variety of 4350. I would start there since there is more loads mentioned for it and see what you find. After that toss up 4831 and 7828. Atleast from a logical perspective thats what I would do is take the most popular so far and work down. ladder 4350 (H or IMR) and see what you find.
Then after you're done, let me know since I have a box of 140's sitting around taking up dust so I might aswell play with them after hunting season. lol

FWIW, my go to load with both the 140 gr. ballistic tips, and 140 gr. Accubonds has been 65.5 gr. of RL-19, in my Sako L61R Varmint. Yes, I could develop loads that have greater velocity. However, I rarely shoot over 250 yds. Also I find that impact velocities over 2800 fps tend toward bloodshot meat. And being a short range meat hunter, I'm all about eating right up to the bullet hole. Best GWB

Once again thanks for your input.....But here's how I see it...There are many, many other threads about load data...I started this one about the 7mm mag and 140AB.. I haven't seen you chime in on any other load data threads and tell people to "do their homework"; so why me? My point?????? You are watching this thread for one reason or another... So please get some useful data or give some!!! Other than that....Shoot down someone elses thread.

For me, 68 gr Rl22 and 140 AB,WW brass and Fed 215 primer for about 3200.....some rifles manage up to 70 gr for 3250 or so. This is one of my "go to" 7RM loads and 140 gr bullets.Almost always works...

"So please get some useful data or give some!!! Other than that....Shoot down someone elses thread." Thing is, I have given you useful data in an effort to get you to see the facts rather than pursuing a hopeless hope, not to 'shoot" you down. And I do make simular efforts on an almost regular basis... about once a year...but illusions die hard. Good luck with your pursuit of a short cut by following the steps of others with different rigs!

74grs H1000 or 75grs Retumbo have both pushed 140AB's close to 3300fps and sub-minute in my 26" 700.
as always, start lower and work up...
