Took my youngest and his best bud trap shooting ahead of the front coming in. They estimate that I'm gonna get 8 inches of rain in the the next 36 hours.

A great afternoon. Went through 3 boxes of Remington clays. Shot the B. Rizzini, 1870's vintage W&C Scott 10 gauge, Remington 1894 damascus 12 SXS, Ruger Red label 20 and Winchester circa 1930 model 12 in 16 gauge.

Now I am about to munch on a venison sausage sandwitch with peppers and onions after downing a half dozen Bass ales by the pool. Truly a memorable afternoon.

Much storm damage at home. Trees down, electricity off, etc. Warned to stay away, so I'll stay hunkered down where I'm at.

Looks bad in a lot of places based on what I can see on TV, but could have been much worse. Hope y'all come out okay!

Lost power for about 10 hours and had to take about 10 inches of water total out of the pool (5 inches 2X), three bridges near me are all closed with the last convenient one open for me to get to work tomorrow.

Trees are still down and block another artery out of my neighborhood. Other than that all is good. The man cave is dry as a bone.

Maybe I spoke too fast. I should have said it was a fizzle for my area. I have been trying to call Loggah, but no answer. His area really got belted with heavy rain. He has a river right behind his place and there is a dam on it that officials are really concerned will breech at any moment. River keeps rising and they think the dam is at it's full capacity. Downstream from an entire campground was lost including all of the campers that were there. Let's hope we hear from Don SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE:JUST HEARD FROM LOGGAH. HE IS FINE. RIVER WATER IS MANAGABLE SO FAR. HE ANTICIPATES NO PROBLEMS. LOSS OF POWER AND LOSS OF INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No more updates. He says all is well and that WMUR is dramatizing and embelishing a situation that is nothing new to the folk that live in his area. He says that dam has been there since 1932. It ain't going anywhere!!!!!!!

Lots of trees (one in my backyard) and limbs down here in Lancaster County Pa. Corn too, silage harvest is going to be a cast iron biotch. Only had about 3 inches of rain in my neck of the woods but I did hear about some bridges on the Conestoga River being closed.

We 'missed' by a bit. Rain was extremely heavy in the upper end of the drainage, and the creek crested here right "at" flood stage at the USGS station two miles upstream at 9 PM. But the drainage opens up between here and there enough to spread it out...this time just enough. There's a bit o' water in the basement this morning, but that is not all that uncommon. Sump is working. Minor wind damage. We were a bit luckier than many, just north and east. NE PA took it pretty hard, and the North Branch is gonna be a mess for a while yet. Dushore, PA had nearly 9" of rain in 10 hours!!! That 42 miles from here, and in the top of the 'Sock drainage that runs behind our home. Had they had one more inch, I'd be writing you from a house boat.
