Just purchased a Finnlight in 300 win mag this week. Looking for thoughts on what ammo has worked well with this gun and caliber. I'm not a reloader but I will be using premium factory loads. Thanks in advance for the input.

I have the same, A finnlight in 300 WM that was purchased early this year. Broke the barrel in with 180gr Rem core loks and was suprised with the how accurate they shot, With rounds 25-30 had a nickel cover four shots at 100yds. I'll post pics after my camera battery is charged, Deen.

Winchester Supreme Accubonds for sure or the XP3's in 180gr's. My factory groups looked similar with reloads BETTER!!

The AB's I used till I started reloading for my Sako m75ss 300WM. Couple friends have the same rifle/caliber and use the WS AB's.

Next vote would be the Federals in the Accubonds or the TTSX's.

I'd also recommend trying the 180 XP3's! Excellent bullet! It would be nice if they'd offer that for reloading.

FWIW, my best friend from 3rd grade asked every other season or so to sight in his rifle. A motorcycle accident messed up one arm/hand - the use of it, and he trust what I know about guns and shooting.

His rifle is a BAR in 300. He wanted advice on ammo, in 308 and '06 many shoot 165s but I predicted a 180 might do best at 300 speeds SO:

FIRST I dug up an article, and guess what the test rifle was a Sako, maybe a M75 I think, but it was a Sako and they tested ALOT of ammo brands/types/bullet weights.

Conclusion, the WW 180gr Ballistic Silvertip Supreme ammo was #1, so I suggested my friend use that ammo.

Results, it shot VERY Good, the BAR may produce a flier here and there unlike a bolt, but suffice to say, I had some VERY tight grouping at 200 yds where I zero.

I would highly recommend that load to try.
