If it comfuse people I guess it need more explanation.

A regular Maglite 3 D flashlight, output 39 lumens, the most powerful flashlight that you can get over the counter is a Police-Military light by Surefire called the M-6 (it is 500 lumens, runs for 20 minutes on six 123's batteries and cost $400.00)

For $200 shipped you can have my modified MAG 951 generation II that runs on rechargeable Nimhs batteries and uses a super-bulb to output 951 lumens for 45 minutes.
Double the lumen output of the Surefire and double the run time for half the price.

This is a shootout with the Surefire M-6
lights are coming from 43 yards away, camera set up at 15 yards from the tool shed.

The light have a modified switch for high temperature, a special heavy walled aluminum parabolic reflector, Pyrex lens and special battery carriers for the nine AA Nimhs high current rechargeables batteries.

cool!

I like the electrical tape tactical mount!

Interesting, does the light stay strong for the full 45 mins? Also, are you saying that it auto shuts off after x mins to protect its self from over heating???

Blammer,

That is NOT electrical tape, the mount was made by Pelican and called a Lite Saddle, and the attachment is with Velcro.

Second Wind.

The 45 minutes is the total run time, the light stay strong (at 951 lumens) for 44 minutes and them dims as the batteries are nearing the end of the charge 2.5 AMPS.)

The one that shut off by itself is the Surefire M-6, the 123's batteries have a circuit protection and when overheated will shut off. With the M-6 depending on ambient temperature you will get 14 minutes run time or sometimes up to 20 minutes. After that you throw away the six 123's and load 6 more for more light. (an expense of $12.00 for those 20 minutes)

My light is rechargeable, after your run time of 45 minutes you recharge the nine high current high capacity Nimhs batteries.

You can recharge the nine batteries in this 10 bay charger, that I also will sell.

[Linked Image]

This is a slow charger and will take 12 hours to charge the batteries.

But if you get my Rolls Royce version, you can recharge directly into the Rolls Royce battery carrier with a RC charger,
like this.

[Linked Image]

It plugs right into the charging port of the Rolls Royce.
like this

This is a FAST charger and will do the job in one and a half hours.

So is this one flashlight, or is this a commercial venture?

Have you talked to Rick about Advertising your business?
Might be a good idea.

Considering that light is about ALL he ever posts about... it might be a REALLY good idea.

No slight to the light, nor the idea... but just use the proper channels.

You guys might be being a little harsh... Lets not run him off before I get a chance to learn more about this... I'm hearing that North Carolina is giving the ok to night time coyote hunting... I know Rick has a business to run, but lets talk about my needs
So BB 84, spill the beans, is this your own prototype? If it works as stated, you could sell a million of them. I'll even offer to do some field testing for you

Hey, no one said run the fella off. In fact, that's not it at all.

Just get it figured out with RickBin, and it'll be good to go.

And, you're right, for night-time 'yotes, with the red filter cap for the Mag-Lite, it could be the cats... err... 'yotesazz...

RickBin,
Let see if I can buy some advertising space, and avoid beign banned.

This is defenitely a commercial venture if I can pull it off, I just expend all my money making a run of 40 of the special parts I needed (reflectors, switches, battery carriers, lenses and super bulbs) and I already bought most of the "hosts"

So I don't need to be banned and I need people to hear what I have to offer, or is back to the couch and TV for me.

In the meanwhile and if it is permited, more pictures and the capabilities of the light can be seen in this thread.

I need a link to your advertising prices and I hope we can do business.
Best regards

Juan,

Once you get up and running with Rick, I'd be interested in info on a light w/ mount for an AR-15. Thanks and good luck.

Nebraska,
I don't have anything that will mount in the AR 15, but several good systems are available.
If the forearm is not prepared you can buy a length of Picattiny rail from Bravo Company and screw it to your rifle. That will be the base.
Several specialized rings are sold for the different flashlights diameters.
I particularly like the new throw lever mounting from Pentagon lights, but any 1" Weaver ring will hold a Surefire 6P or G-2 or the 9P.
If you are going to shoot a lot, you may want to purchase the shock absorbing bezel from Surefire called the Z-32.
I recently needed another light for long distance shooting and I went for the one that Cabela's sell. It is a 12 volts system and a bigger head can be had (for more throw).
Here is the post I did on the search for the long shooting light
https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads...p;page=0#807747

Here is a site where you can ask the same question and will bring a lot of information from the members (AR15Armory.com I am a moderator there)
http://www.ar15armory.com/forums/index.p...er=all&st=0

For specialty rings, Vltor have a lightweight one and Daniel an offset.
There are a lot of systems for the MR-15.
Best regards
