I noticed that winchester is coming out with an extreme weather model 70 in 7mm WSM. Does anyone know when we can expect to see them.
...Maybe they are already out, dont know but I cant find one in Utah and I would love to have one.
Thanks

I've also been trying to locate one. They supposedly made EW's in 7WSM a few years ago as well. Never saw it then either. Wondering if they actually built/build them, or if they're just blowing smoke...

Don't listen to boxer. He is a psychotic 4 yr. old that escaped from a mental institution and is using a computer in the public library.

AH the 7mm Wissum. I love mine, it is a LOOONNGG range killin machine. I have the EW in 7-08. Check with East County Guns. They had the 7-08 when no one else did. I think if I had to pick one rifle/caliber, it would be the 7mm WSM. 62.0 gr 4831sc, 180 Berger VLD in a 9 twist Broughton barrel. I might have to put a brake on a light rifle, they do kick a bit but then I'm a weenie when it comes to hard kickin guns.

Some shooting knowledge: Don't stand in front of the muzzle. Some hunting knowledge: Too much noise ruins the hunt.

Hi Folks,
My dealer ordered one for me 3 or 4 weeks ago direct from Winchester. Apparently about a week after placing an order with Winchester, they will post the expected ship date.
Mine is Dec 11.
Have a good one.

I think that Winchester may have announced release of the production version a few years ago, but transition from USRAC to FNH delayed that for a while. The Custom Shop version came in a Super Grade EDGE stock and the barrel has a sharp shoulder coming off of the shank, but otherwise the two versions are similar.

They one I saw in the catalog I thought was production. It was listed with all of the other Extreme Weathers. I'll look and see if I still have the catalog. Would have been 2008 or 2009 I believe.
